ADdie - Analysis & Design
The training was created for beginners with little prior knowledge of conservation or platypuses. To bridge this knowledge gap, the course provides foundational information on platypus biology, behavior, and habitat, paired with accessible conservation strategies, using the the ADDIE model. The content is structured into beginner-friendly modules, using multimedia elements to simplify complex ideas and maintain engagement. Modules cover key topics such as threats from invasive species, natural disasters, and human activities. Interactive branching scenarios built in Rise 360 guide learners through realistic decision-making processes, reinforcing key concepts and improving comprehension.
adDIe - Develop & Implement
Development included interactive quizzes, branching scenarios, and multimedia elements to reinforce conservation concepts, with DaVinci Resolve as the main tool for video creation. Practical exercises empower participants to actively engage in platypus preservation efforts. The implementation combined Rise 360 for branching scenarios, DaVinci Resolve for video editing, Articulate 360 for issuing completion certificates, and Eleven Labs for high-quality audio, creating a multimedia engaging learning experience that enhances comprehension.
addiE -Evaluation
Incorporates a variety of activities and questions that serve as formative assessments throughout the training, providing ongoing feedback. A summative assessment at the end evaluates overall learning outcomes and effectiveness. For this portfolio project, the course has been designed to allow employers to navigate through it flexibly, enabling them to skip sections as needed for review. This approach facilitates a streamlined presentation of the project's capabilities and features. However, in a functional training setting, user engagement would be crucial, with participants required to answer questions and complete activities.
The training successfully addressed the challenge of introducing conservation concepts to beginners with limited knowledge of platypuses.
